Robot Monitoring as a Service

From raw telemetry to autonomous recovery - Oibil covers every layer of industrial robot operations so your team can focus on production, not firefighting.

01

Continuous Telemetry Streaming

Real-time data collection from robot controllers, PLCs, and sensors streamed to secure cloud infrastructure with sub-second latency.

02

Intelligent Fault Detection

AI-driven anomaly detection identifies deviations - torque limits, cycle times, joint wear - before they escalate to faults or line stoppages.

03

Automated Error Correction

When recoverable errors occur, the system executes pre-approved corrective sequences autonomously - re-homing, parameter resets, safe-state transitions - without waiting for human intervention.

04

Autonomous Recovery Workflows

Structured recovery playbooks per robot model and error class. The system handles the routine so your engineers handle the exceptional.

05

Multi-Channel Alerting

Escalating alerts via SMS, email, and dashboards with defined severity tiers. Critical faults reach the right person in under 90 seconds, any day of the year.

06

Predictive Maintenance Intelligence

Trend analysis on motor loads, joint temperatures, and cycle deviations surfaces maintenance windows before failures - converting unplanned downtime into planned service intervals.

Downtime Is Not an Option.

A single undetected fault on a modern automated line can cascade into hours of lost production before a human arrives on the floor. Oibil detects the earliest precursors of a fault - often 15 to 45 minutes before an actual stoppage - giving automated systems and engineers the window they need to intervene without stopping the line.

This is not reactive monitoring with faster alerts. It is the systematic elimination of unplanned downtime through continuous, intelligent observation and autonomous action. We automate the automation.

IEC 62443.
Followed to the Letter.

IEC 62443 is the internationally recognized standard for securing Industrial Automation and Control Systems. Oibil's monitoring architecture was designed around it from the ground up - not retrofitted to pass an audit.

IEC 62443-2-1

IACS Security Management

Documented security policies, risk assessments, and incident response procedures.

IEC 62443-3-3

System Security Requirements

Zone and conduit segmentation, least-privilege access, and encrypted communications at every layer.

IEC 62443-4-1

Secure Development Lifecycle

Software built under a formal SDL with static analysis, dependency auditing, and penetration testing.

IEC 62443-4-2

Component Security Requirements

All monitoring agents and cloud components meet SL-2 (Security Level 2) requirements.

  • Read-only access model. Our agents never write to robot controllers. Your OT network retains full authority.
  • Network zone isolation. Monitoring traffic is confined to defined conduits. Zero lateral movement between OT zones.
  • Role-based access control. Every action is logged with user identity and timestamp.
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest. TLS 1.3 transport, AES-256 storage. Keys are customer-controlled.
  • Supply chain transparency. Full SBOM provided for all deployed components with signed, verifiable releases.
  • Documented risk assessments. Site-specific security plans provided at onboarding and updated annually.
  • Incident response SLA. Defined response and notification timelines compliant with IEC 62443-2-1 Section 4.3.6.

US-Based or Offshore.
Your Choice.

Both options deliver the same platform, the same IEC 62443 security posture, and the same commitment to zero downtime. The difference is who watches your robots and from where.

Common Questions

Answers to the questions every operations and security team asks before deployment.

Which robot brands and controllers are supported?

Our telemetry agent supports all major industrial robot manufacturers out of the box:

  • FANUC - R-30iA, R-30iB, R-30iB Plus, CNC Series
  • KUKA - KRC4, KRC5, Sunrise Cabinet
  • ABB - IRC5, OmniCore, S4C+
  • Yaskawa / Motoman - DX200, YRC1000, FS100
  • Universal Robots - CB3, e-Series
  • Stäubli, Epson, Denso, and Kawasaki via OPC-UA or Modbus

Custom controller integrations are available on request. Contact sales@oibil.com with your controller model.

Does the agent require internet access, or can it run air-gapped?

Both modes are supported. The standard deployment uses an outbound-only encrypted connection (TLS 1.3) from your OT network to our cloud platform - no inbound connections, no open ports.

For facilities with strict air-gap requirements, we offer an on-premises deployment where the monitoring stack runs entirely within your network, with data synchronised on a schedule or via approved media transfer. This is common for defence, nuclear, and government-adjacent facilities.

What is the agent's resource footprint?

The telemetry agent is designed to be invisible to production systems:

  • CPU: <1% on a single core at 100ms polling intervals
  • Memory: 64–128 MB resident depending on fleet size
  • Network: 5–50 KB/s per robot depending on telemetry verbosity
  • Disk: <200 MB installation, configurable local buffer

The agent operates in read-only mode and does not participate in any real-time robot control path. It introduces zero additional latency to robot cycle times.

What happens if the monitoring service itself goes down - is there an SLA?

Yes. We offer a 99.9% platform uptime SLA with defined response and resolution timelines. In the event of a platform outage:

  • The local agent buffers telemetry and replays it when connectivity resumes
  • No data is lost for outages under the configured buffer window (default 24 hours)
  • Your NOC team is notified of any platform degradation within 5 minutes

SLA credits and penalty terms are defined in the service agreement. Details available on request from sales@oibil.com.

Can alerts integrate with our existing ITSM or on-call platform?

Yes. The alert engine supports outbound integrations to all major platforms via webhook, REST API, or native connector:

  • ServiceNow - automatic incident creation with fault context
  • PagerDuty - severity-mapped escalation policies
  • Jira / Jira Service Management - ticket creation and linking
  • Slack and Microsoft Teams - channel routing by severity or plant
  • Generic webhook - for custom ITSM or in-house tooling

Custom integrations are implemented as part of the onboarding process at no additional charge.

Who can access our operational data, and how is it protected?

Your telemetry data is yours. We operate under a strict data governance model aligned with IEC 62443:

  • Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256) with customer-controlled keys
  • Access is limited to your designated users and the assigned NOC team - no Oibil employee can access your data without your explicit authorisation
  • All access events are logged in an immutable audit trail available to your security team
  • Data is never used for training, benchmarking, or shared with third parties
  • Retention periods are configurable and data is permanently deleted on contract termination
